Novelty tea pots are a collector’s dream. From cats and elephants to robots, you can find it as a novelty teapot. You can search by artist or country or design and probably find any kind of teapot you want.
When I first started looking at novelty teapots I thought I would find a few. I was amazed to find hundreds, if not thousands, of different kinds of teapots. If you like trains, planes, or automobiles, you can search for all transportation types of teapots. There were teapots with hot air balloons, and teapots of boats-even a teapot of a trailer camper that looked very much like (a shorter version) of the one from the I Love Lucy show! Motorcycles and racing cars, tanks, and even a modern “smart car” have been fashioned into teapots.
And the list goes on. There are Santa and snowmen teapots for Christmas, heart-shaped teapots for Valentine’s Day, and a witch for Halloween. There are flowers and animals and insects and birds all made into novelty teapots. Whatever you fancy you can probably find it in a novelty teapot.
You can find teapots based on board games, books, and plays. Teapots that look like famous buildings or cottages or castles are available. Just a quick search will lead you to teapots shaped like people, or with people on them. A Wild West or cowboy theme shows up in teapots.
